THE NEW WARSAW

POLISH TITLE: NOWA WARSZAWA

Stanisława Celińska is more than just an outstanding actress, known from Andrzej Wajda’s films or Krzysztof Warlikowski’s performances. In 2012, together with the Royal String Quartet, she recorded an album with new arrangements of well-known songs about Warsaw. The recording of their performance serves as a pretext to tell the story of the artist whose life has been intertwined with the history of Warsaw in a special way. The musicians pay a singular tribute to the contemporary Praga, a district in Warsaw where Celińska was born.
