THE EXAM

POLISH TITLE: EGZAMIN DOJRZAŁOŚCI

In his study Filip Gieldon, a film student, follows the lives of three girls who will soon take their final secondary school exams. The worlds of Aleksandra, Joanna and Paulina are divided by almost everything: life experience, social background and plans for the future. The eponymous maturity exam is a pretext for the director to build three detailed film portraits. Thanks to the omnipresent camera and strong characters, Gieldon’s documentary is a colourful and wise story about coming off age.
