Contrary to his family's expectations, Karol Śliwka leaves the village and begins studying art in Warsaw. He decides to pursue graphic design. His work fills communist Poland and defines the country's visual landscape. His designs are not displayed in galleries, but are present in Polish homes, on Polish streets, in institutions, and in workplaces. At the same time, he leads an ordinary family life, which he passionately documents over the years. This extremely talented artist is still considered one of the most important sign designers in the world. The film “Signs of Mr. Plum" s a kaleidoscope of archival materials and memories that reveal a fascinating portrait of a man and an era, a journey through a changing Poland.
