"HAPPINESS ON THE PAVEMENT" AT THE SCREENING AT ROUGH CUT DOCSBARCELONA
"Happiness on the pavement" by Wiktoria Szymańska will be shown during the Rough Cut screening within the frames of the industry events at the DocsBarcelona festival. This year, only three projects from around the world were selected to this section.
The Rough Cut screening is a private session, in which producers, directors, sales agents and distributors participate. The aim of the meeting is a creative and constructive discussion, intended to help the project to appear on the international market.
"Happiness on the pavement” tells the story of Artur, living on the streets of Warsaw. He chose to be homeless. He describes himself as "underdeveloped," but it seems that it is the world that cannot keep up with him. He delights in life. He cries because of his loneliness. The film uses the narration of a fairy tale and the language of a documentary film, confronting the protagonist's personal point of view with the objective reality. It is looking for the answer to the question, who is Artur. The answer hidden in cracks, fissures in his full personality.
The film's producers are Luna W (Great Britain) and Plesnar & Krauss FILMS (Poland).
You can find more information about the projects qualified for the Rough Cut screening on DocsBarcelona's website.
