POLISH FILMS AWARDED AT ZAGREBDOX
On March 4, the award ceremony at the Croatian festival ZagrebDox was held. On that day, as many as three Polish documentary films were awarded: "21 x New York" by Piotr Stasik, "Communion" by Anna Zamecka and "Close Ties" by Zofia Kowalewska.
This year, the festival ZagrebDOX was held for the 13th time. The Croatian festival is one of the most important ones in this region of Europe. During the week-long event, the audience, the representatives of the film industry and the jury had the opportunity to watch over 120 films from all over the world. Among them, there were as many as seven films from Poland, and three of them returned from the festival with special mentions.
In the international competition, the films were evaluated by the jury consisting of Snježana Tribuson, director and manager of the Hungarian Film Critics' Association, and film critic and art director of Trieste Film Festival - Fabrizio Grosoli. It was them who decided to award special mentions in this competition to "21 x New York" and "Communion" by Anna Zamecka.
The third special mention for a Polish production went to Zofia Kowalewska for the film "Close Ties." The documentary film was appreciated by the young jury of the festival.
