”TWO WORLDS” WITH ANOTHER AWARD IN THE USA

Documentary film ”Two Worlds” by Maciej Adamek won Best Documentary Short award at the Weyauwega International Film Festival in the USA.

The Weyauwega International Film Festival finished on November 11th; the winner of the Best Short Documentary competition of this year's edition was Maciej Adamek's film ”Two Worlds”.

”Two Worlds” is a family portrait of deaf parents and their 12-year old daughter. Laura takes on the role of her father and mother’s mouths and ears helping them in everyday life. Life that is unusual yet ordinary as every other family's.

The film has been already awarded over a dozen times at various festivals including: Rhode Island Film Festival, Chicago Children’s Film Festival, Harlem Film Festiwal, United Nations Association Film Festival, Wales International Documentary Festival, New York Film Festivals and TV Awards, Greenpoint Film Festival, FaitoDOC Festiwal and Jakarta International Film Festival.

The film was co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. The producers are Jacek Kucharski from Metro Films and TVP 2.

The DoP is Mateusz Skalski, the film editor Sławek Goździk, and the sound editors Mariusz Bielecki and Przemek Jaworski.
