About the film

Brutalist architecture, a toll elevator, and the surreal rhythm of everyday life define the world of Mzia – a former sniper overseeing a one-of-a-kind transportation system. The grotesque reality of the housing estate and the peculiarities of its inhabitants form a tragicomic portrait of modern Georgia. “Lift Lady” blends the surrealism of the urban landscape with the absurdity of daily existence, offering an intimate portrayal of a woman who, within the confined microcosm of her world, rediscovers relationships and tensions long forgotten by the West.
