A student film „Rogalik” directed by Paweł Ziemilski and produced by Polish National Film School in Łódź has received a Special Jury Mention at 59th International Short Film Festival Oberhausen. It’s not the first award for Paweł Ziemilski – „Rogalik” was nominated to the Main Award of IDFA Film Festival in November and received Special Mention at ZagrebDox festival in Croatia in March.
The film takes the viewer in a journey among people and objects usually considered as ugly and unattractive. This dream-like journey is not a dream. Who are the people in this „big aquarium”? And what is our position towards them?
It’s Worth mentioning that the Main Award of the festival has been given to another Polish film – animated “Ziegenort” by Tomasz Popakul.
