GREEN ACADEMY AWARD FOR "HONEY HUNTERS"
The documentary film "Honey Hunters" is the winner of this year's edition of Wildscreen Panda Awards. These awards are given to the films about nature and environmental issues, which is why they are called "Green Academy Awards."
Wildscreen Festival is the most important wildlife film festival in the world, held in Bristol since 1982. This year, for the first time in history, Polish production - "Honey Hunters," directed by Krystian Matysek - won in the category People and Nature Award.
"Honey Hunters" is the first Polish feature-length, high-budget wildlife documentary film, using the latest technology to show the life of bees. The documentary film by Krystian Matysek analyses the dangers which threaten human civilisation because of mass extinction of bee colonies. Together with the actress Magdalena Popławska, we travel through Europe and Asia in search of the answer to the question whether it is possible to save the bees from extinction?
The documentary film "Honey Hunters" will be broadcast on TVP2 on October 18.
