"THREE CONVERSATIONS ON LIFE" AWARDED AT GO SHORT

In April, the festival Go Short - International Short Film Festival Nijmegen was held, during which the special mention went to the film "Three Conversations on Life" by Julia Staniszewska.

Go Short is a festival showing films no longer than 40 minutes. It is the only festival in the Netherlands, which qualifies for the Academy Awards in the short feature and animated film categories. Last year, almost 3000 films were submitted to the selection.

It was this year that the film "Three Conversations on Life" by Julia Staniszewska was included in the international competition. At the festival, the production won the Special Mention in the documentary film category.

"Three Conversations on Life" is a portrait of two women, with children in the background. Grandma and mother differ in their moral judgement about the IVF method, which is significant as two grandsons were born thanks to this very method. The convictions of one side do not let her come to terms with the decisions of the other. The stiffening of the standpoint, particularly in the case of the older woman, makes them both persist in the ideological deadlock. However, the difficult conversation on the subject whether it is possible to reconcile love, faith and ideology, still goes on.
