"THE IDEA IS PARAMOUNT" AT THE MILANO DESIGN FILM FESTIVAL

The documentary film by Jacek Link-Lenczewski is invited to the competition at the 7th edition of the Milano Design Film Festival.

The Milano Design Film Festival is held in the very centre of one of the most stylish and designer cities in Europe. The event combines cinema, architecture and design with modern technologies. The organisers invite to their programme the documentary films which contain these three elements.

The film invited to the competition, "The Idea is Paramount," unveils the unknown face of Andrzej Wajda. The director reveals himself as an enthusiast of architecture, the promoter of changes in the public space of Krakow and the propagator of the culture of Japan and the Far East in Poland. The documentary film was inspired by the meeting of the director with the architect Krzysztof Ingarden in 1987 and the resulting friendship and long-time creative co-operation. All that resulted in the creation of buildings which are now the emblems of the modern design in Poland.

The festival is held from the 14th to the 27th of October.
