"THE WALL OF SHADOWS" AWARDED AT A CANADIAN FESTIVAL

Eliza Kubarska's latest documentary received the Best Climbing Film award at the Canadian Banff Center Mountain Film Festival.

Banff Center Mountain Film Festival was established in 1976. This is one of the most important festivals devoted to mountain films and literature. This year's edition of the festival started on October 31 and ended on November 8.

The awarded "The Wall Of Shadows" tells the story of the Sherpa family - Nepalese porters. They break taboos by taking part in the Himalayan expedition to Kumbhakarna, the holy mountain of Sherpas. Only in this way can I earn money for my son's school and save him from dangerous work in the mountains. Outstanding mountaineers take part in the expedition to one of the most difficult mountains in the world, reaching almost 8,000 meters. The Sacred Mountain confronts Sherpas and climbers in the same ruthless way.

More information about the festival can be found on its official website.
