FOUR POLISH PROJECTS AT SUNNY SIDE

This year, the audience in La Rochelle will see four Polish documentary projects: On The Way by Natalia Dołgowska, Women and War by Elwira Niewiera and Piotr Rosołowski, Ghetto Classic by Katia Priwieziencew, and Channelers by Jakub Wróblewski.

Held annually in the French town of La Rochelle, Sunny Side of the Doc is one of the world’s leading documentary markets and a meeting point for professionals working across the documentary sectors. The 2024 edition of Sunny Side of the Doc will run from 23 to 26 June.

Representatives of the selected projects will participate in one-to-one meetings with industry decision-makers, as well as in pitch sessions. Each project will be given a 15-minute slot – seven minutes for presentation and eight for a Q&A session. The most promising projects have a chance of receiving financial awards from sponsors to support their ongoing production.

Natalia Dołgowska’s On The Way (produced by Kijora Film, Bellota Films, and Cinedokke) will be featured in the Nature & Environment Pitch. Women and War by Elwira Niewiera and Piotr Rosołowski (produced by Telemark) has been invited to the Current Affairs & Investigation Pitch. Katia Priwieziencew’s Ghetto Classic (produced by Dynamo Film, WKND) will appear in the Arts & Entertainment Pitch. The VR project Channelers by Jakub Wróblewski (produced by Monster Mind Studio) is slated for the Innovation Lab Pitch.
