"TWO WORLDS" AWARDED IN INDONESIA

The last days of August brought yet another award for the film "Two Worlds". This time Polish documentary has been recognized at the ARKIPEL Jakarta International Documentary and Experimental Film Festival in Indonesia.

Documentary film "Two Worlds" by Maciej Adamek received JURY Award at the ARKIPEL Jakarta International Documentary and Experimental Film Festival in Indonesia. 31 films - selected from 1722 movies submitted from 80 countries - were presented in the competition.

 It is the 14th award given to the film which has already achieved success, among others, at the Rhode Island Film Festival , the Chicago International Children’s Film Festival, the Harlem Film Festival in New York, the United Nations Association Film Festival in the USA, the Wales International Documentary Festival, the New York Film Festivals and TV Awards and the Greenpoint Film Festival in New York. 

"Two Worlds" is a family portrait of deaf parents and their hearing daughter Laura. 12 years old girl is our guide into their life. Life that is unusual, but at the same time as ordinary as every family's existence.

The film was co-financed by the Polish Film Institute. The producer is Jacek Kucharski from the Metro Films and TVP2.

The cinematographer for the film is Mateusz Skalski and the editor is Sławek Goździk.
