"WIND. A DOCUMENTARY THIRLLER ”WITH THE AUDIENCE AWARD
This time, Michał Bielawski's documentary won the hearts of the audience of the American Mammoth Lakes Film Festival.
Mammoth Lakes Film Festival is a five-day independent cinema festival, which presents the most interesting full-length and short films from around the world. Everything takes place in extraordinary natural circumstances right in the mountains above Lake Mammoth in California.
This year, the “Wind. A Documentary thriller” by Michał Bielawski awas invited to the program and the viwers liked the film so much that it was awarded the Audience Award.
The hero of the award-winning documentary is the mountain wind halny- one of the most unpredictable forces in the Polish mountains. It appears cyclically every spring and autumn. You never know if and when it will turn into a destructive gale. Halny especially affects the inhabitants of Zakopane and the surrounding area, turning the picturesque mountain trails into a space of unbridled action of nature.
