POLISH DOCUMENTARIES AT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVALS IN FEBRUARY
As usual, there aren't many festivals in February, but there are a few major ones that also happen to feature Polish documentaries. Check out where productions are going to appear this month.
DOCPOINT Helsinki Documentary Film Festival kicked off on the last day of January, followed a day later by its Estonian counterpart – DOCPOINT Tallin Documentary Film Festival. The program of the first one includes Polish documentary – The Balcony Movie by Paweł Łoziński. This film will also take part in the competition in Estonia, but these are not all the festivals that Łoziński's film is visiting in February. The production will go on to compete for awards in Australia at the Antenna Documentary Film Festival and in the United States at the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival.
Julia Pełka's Fat Kathy is going to the US. This short documentary will have a shot at winning awards at the Frozen River Film Festival. The Way by Wojtek Kozakiewicz has two international trips ahead of itself. The film will visit the FGF Festival of Mountain Film in Slovenia and In the Palace International Short Film Festival in Bulgaria.
The second half of the month will see the 4th edition of the Serbian Belgrade Documentary Film Festival DOK whose program includes Michał Kawecki's No Hero At All. In turn, Andrzej Cichocki's A Little Bit of Paradise will be screened near the end of the month in India at the Rain International Nature Film Festival.
