THREE POLISH PROJECTS AWARDED IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC
Last night, the winners were announced at East Doc Platform. A total of three Polish projects received an award – The World is Not (a) Mine by Natalia Koniarz, Pianoforte by Jakub Piątek, and 5 Pills Away by Karolina Domagalska.
East Doc Platform is an industry event dedicated to documentary cinema and organised by the Institute of Documentary film in Prague. It accompanies the One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival. This year's edition began on 26 March and will last until 1 April. The many awards handed out during the event go to the best projects in development among all those participating in the East Doc Platform.
This year, three Polish projects were awarded a total of four times. The World is Not (a) Mine by Natalia Koniarz received the main one – the East Doc Platform Award for the best pitch. The Leipzig Preview Award and the Pitch the Doc Award went to Jakub Piątek's Pianoforte. Both documentaries are produced by Maciej Kubicki from Telemark. In turn, Karolina Domagalska's 5 Pills Away is produced by Ania Stylińska and Kasia Ślesicka from My Way Studio. The project also received the Pitch The Doc Award.
