POLISH DOCUMENTARIES AT INTERNATIONAL FESTIVALS IN APRIL

There are several important events taking place in April, where Polish documentaries will be present. Check out where to see our films at international festivals this month.

The Mecal Pro Barcelona International Short and Animation Festival began in Spain at the end of March. The event, which will show Masks and Men by Paweł Łoziński and A Little Bit of Paradise by Andrzej Cichocki, will last until 11 April. The It's All True – 27th International Documentary Film Festival will conclude the day before. Attendees of the Brazilian festival will watch The Balcony Movie by Paweł Łoziński.

April will also see the very important Visions du Réel International Film Festival Nyon. The programme of the event includes several Polish documentaries – premiere screenings of Silent Love by Marek Kozakiewicz, The Herd by Monika Kotecka and Karolina Poryzała, and The Pawnshop by Łukasz Kowalski. More on this can be found here. The Ulju Mountain Film Festival will also take place at the beginning of the month. The Way by Wojtek Kozakiewicz will participate in its competition, while Sławomir Witek's Last Season will be featured in the non-competitive section. Viewers will also see Zuzanna Solakiewicz's The Soil at the Budapest RITMO 2022.

It's All True – 27th International Documentary Film Festival isn't the only event where the documentary will be shown. This month, the film will still be present at the goEast Film Festival, the Atlanta Film Festival, the Crossing Europe Film Festival Linz and the ZagrebDox – International Documentary Film Festival. Balcony Concert by Diana and Krzysztof Kadłubowski will also be screened at the latter festival. The production will also visit the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival. In Canada, we will also see Bucolic by Karol Pałka, Silent Love by Marek Kozakiewicz, Backstage by Ada Smyk, as well as premiere screenings of Only the Wind by Zofia Kowalewska, Boylesque by Bogna Kowalczyk, and Hanna Polak's co-production Angels of Sinjar. You can read more about it here.
