“APOLONIA, APOLONIA” WINS AT SWEDISH FESTIVAL
The co-production by Lea Glob won the Dragon Award for Best Nordic Documentary at the Göteborg Film Festival.
The Göteborg Film Festival (formerly Göteborg International Film Festival) is one of Sweden's major film events. Its program includes the most interesting new productions from all over the globe.
This year, Lea Glob's Polish-Danish-French co-production Apolonia, Apolonia has been invited to the program. The documentary won the Dragon Award for Best Nordic Documentary.
The the winning documentary tells the story of French-Polish painter Apolonia Sokol, who leaves Denmark and moves to her native Paris to work on her art there. Viewers get the chance to see the evolution of her beliefs about sexuality, art, ideals and love, and witness how her talent matures while she herself shifts to the commercial side of the artistic world.
