CALL FOR ENTRIES: EAST DOC PLATFORM 2026
The Institute of Documentary Film has announced the call for submissions for the 15th edition of East Doc Platform (EDP), the largest industry event dedicated to documentary cinema in Central and Eastern Europe. The upcoming edition will take place in Prague from 19 to 25 March 2026.
For years, EDP has been the region’s key co-production, funding, and distribution hub for documentary projects. It offers filmmakers and producers a unique opportunity to present their work to the international industry, including producers, broadcasters, distributors, and festival programmers.
Eligible for submission are feature-length creative documentaries and factual series from Central and Eastern Europe at the development, production, or post-production stage, as well as completed short and feature-length documentaries. International projects thematically linked to the CEE region are also welcome.
Participants will gain access to three main programme sections:
East Doc Forum – the region’s largest pitching platform for documentaries and factual series,
East Doc Market – curated one-on-one meetings with distributors, broadcasters, producers, and festival programmers,
Czech Docs: Coming Soon… – a showcase of new Czech documentaries for both the international industry and the public.
The submission deadline is 14 November 2025.
