A beautifully illustrated story of a contemporary village and its unconventional dwellers who are of different age, but have one thing in common – their strong attachment to folk culture. ‘The Soil’ is a picturesque documentary, attuned to the rhythm of nature and regularly-changing landscapes. Its authors can notice the beauty of inapparent aspects of rural life and do not shy away from powerful juxtapositions in editing. In this film, music is as important as images, since it accompanies the protagonists during key events in their lives and helps them to come to terms with their emotions.

Reżyserka, scenarzystka. Ukończyła Międzywydziałowe Indywidualne Studia Humanistyczne na Uniwersytecie Warszawskim. W latach 2005-2009 przebywała w Izraelu, gdzie w 2008 studiowała w Sam Spiegel Film and TV School w Jerozolimie, edukację kontynuowała na stażu w PWSFTiTv w Łodzi. Jej pełnometrażowy debiut dokumentalny "15 stron świata" (2014) zdobył Nagrodę Tygodnia Krytyki Filmowej na MFF w Locarno, Nagrodę Główną na MFFDiK w Belgradzie i wiele innych.
