POLISH TITLE: WYPRACOWANIE

In the spring of ’89 a teacher gave his 8th graders an assignment-writing an essay on “Where do I see myself and Poland in 20 years”. Shortly after that “Solidarity” won the first free general election and Communism fell. Two decades have passed since then. Where are the authors of those essays now? Have their dreams come true? What do they think of the country they live in now? “The Essay” is a story about people born in 70’s, the generation of change-born and raised under the Communist rule, now living their adult lives in a free Poland.
