"YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I LOVE YOU" AWARDED AT DEI POPOLI
On December 2, ended the Italian festival Dei Popoli. One of the awards went to the documentary film by Paweł Łoziński "You Have No Idea How Much I Love You."
The festival dei Popoli, organised in Florence, can boast a long history. Its first edition took place in 1959. Over the past 50 years of its existence, the festival managed to become a recognisable brand in the documentary film industry.
This year, its 57th edition was held, during which Gian Paolo Paoli Award for the best ethno-anthropological film went to "You Have No Idea How Much I Love You" by Paweł Łoziński. In the justification given by the jury, we can read that “anthropology means also questioning the family relations. In this powerful cinematographic experience, a mother and a daughter try to speak to each other under the watchful eye of a therapist. We feel like in a film of John Cassavetes, where faces turn into unforgettable landscapes of emotions.”
