WE KNOW WHICH FILMS ARE NOMINATED FOR THE EAGLES

On the 5th of February, the nominations for "the Polish Oscars" or the Eagles - the Polish Film Awards, were announced. There are as many as nine films competing for the statuette in the documentary film category.

Polish Film Awards have been given since 1999, however, it was only in 2013 that the category appeared that allowed to award the best Polish documentary films. The films honoured with the title of the Best Documentary Film award in last few years are: "Man At War" by Jacek Bławut, "Another World" by Dorota Kędzierzawska, "Warsaw Uprising" by Jan Komasa, "The Actress" by Kinga Dębska and Maria Konwicka, "Communion" by Anna Zamecka, "21 x New York City" by Piotr Stasik and "The Prince and the Dybbuk" by Elwira Niewiera and Piotr Rosołowski.

This year, the members of the Jury selected, from among several dozen of documentary film productions, as many as nine documentary films which received the nomination for the Award. The films which have a chance to win the Eagle award in the documentary film category are:  "In Touch" by Piotr Ziemilski, "The Wind. "A Documentary Thriller" by Michał Bielawski, "Diagnosis" by Ewa Podgórska, "Compulsory Figures" by Ewa Kochańska,  "Maksymiuk. Concerto for Two" by Tomasz Drozdowicz, "Marek Edelman ... And There Was Love In The Ghetto" by Jolanta Dylewska, "Love and Empty Words" by Małgorzata Imielska, "The Symphony of the Ursus Factory" by Jaśmina Wójcik and "Tell No One" by Tomasz Sekielski.

We will find out to whom the Eagle film awards go as soon as on the 2nd of March.
