“LETTERS FROM WOLF STREET” WINS AN AWARD AT A FESTIVAL IN THE USA

The documentary film “Letters From Wolf Street”, directed by Arjun Talwar and selected among the eight titles in the Main Competition of the 23rd edition of the Big Sky Documentary Film Festival in the USA, won one of the event’s most important awards – Best Artistic Vision Feature.

The Big Sky Documentary Film Festival is presented as the leading venue for non-fiction cinema in the American West. The festival provides a space for the premiere screenings of new films and for building lasting relationships between filmmakers and industry professionals. Each year, the event attracts an audience of more than 20,000 and film submissions from around the world, and it is hosted in an intimate mountain town with a distinctly local Montana character.

The central protagonist of “Letters From Wolf Street” is the Warsaw street named in the title, where Arjun Talwar films his neighbors while trying to find his place as an immigrant struggling with a sense of belonging. Together with another filmmaker, he uncovers hidden stories of people living between past and present, an imagined homeland and reality. Along this kilometer-long street, a portrait of contemporary Europe emerges – one that reveals contradictions, anxieties and quiet connections, challenges perceptions of homogeneity, and brings out the human dimension of everyday life.
