EX ORIENTE FILM WORKSHOP GOES ON
The second session of the workshop Ex Oriente Film has just started in Jihalva. Programm is devoted to developing and supporting creative documentaries from Central and Eastern Europe. Poland is represented there by 4 great documentary projects: “Boylesque”, “ELKEA: Borders of Self-control”, “Lady Porn” and “Lesson of Love”
Held within the 21st Ji.hlava IDFF, Ex Oriente Film launches the second session of the yearlong international workshop devoted to developing and supporting creative documentaries from Central and Eastern Europe. In this year's edition of the event, twelve projects will be developed, four of which are Polish productions or co-productions.
Polish films invited to participate in Ex Oriente Film are:
- „Boylesque” – directed by: Bogna Kowalczyk, produced by: HAKA Films
- „ELKEA: Borders of Self-control” – directed by: Hana Nováková, co-produced: Czech Republic, Norway, Poland
- „Lady Porn” – directed by: Zoe D'Amaro, produced by: CoLab Pictures
- „Lekcja miłości” – directed by: Małgorzata Goliszewska, produced by: Warsaw Film Center
Ex Oriente Film is a series of workshops, the aim of which is to help with production and funding of documentary films from Central and Eastern Europe. It is addressed both to directors and film producers. The former will work on developing the subject of their films and their narrative and visual style, whereas the latter will learn more about the methods of looking for sponsors and the principles behind the functioning of the world film market. The authors of projects selected to the participation in the workshops will work on the script, co-production opportunities, etc.
