"SHOOTING STARS" AWARDED IN GERMANY

The short documentary film by Magda Jaroszewicz won the second Jury Prize at the 13th edition of Kurzfilmfestival Köln.

KFFK/Kurzfilmfestival Köln was established in 2006. The festival focuses on promoting German productions and short film co-productions. In the programme, you can find feature, documentary, animated and experimental films.

This year, in the competition you could watch the Polish-German co-production "Shooting Stars," directed by Magda Jaroszewicz. The film delighted the Jury and received the second prize.

The viewers of the award-winning film participate in the observation of one night on one street. They see only what they can imagine, they hear only what they want to hear. The distanced eye brings the images closer and sharpens them, but their interpretation remains in the mind of the observer. Everyone will derive their own story from this observation. You can discuss its contents according to your own experiences, remembering how strongly we are involved in the manipulation of the media and other external stimuli.  The starting point is the image, generated in the observer's head. The observer is a guide but it is the viewer who gives meaning to this night.
