DEADLINE EXTENDED FOR THE SUBMISSION FOR DRAGON FORUM 2012

International Academy of Document Dragon Forum is the international training program for development and marketing of the documentary films. The deadline for Dragon Forum 2012 is extended till January 1st 2012 (Sunday 23:59).


Annual Academy  edition consists of three main sessions that are held in English. The first is devoted to the script and dramaturgy, the second one to the production and financing, and the third to marketing. Sessions are held in the cities of Central Europe, and the last - pitching takes place during the Krakow Film Festival.


Dragon Forum also includes  open film screening of the Art of  Document  and conferences devoted to documentaries and international film market. Together with its partners Academy of the Document organizes special sessions  on international coproduction in different countries.


The schedule of Dragon Forum 2012:

* script session in Warsaw, from 24th till 27th of January
* individual project development consultations in February and March
* production session in Berlin, in April
* pitching in Krakow, in the beginning of June, during Krakow Film Festival.
* co-production session in Leipzig, in October, during the International Festival for Documentary and Animated Films


Workshops are held in small group, conducted by Polish and international experts. The workshops language is English. Finished projects will be presented to commissioning editors from major European and international TV stations and funds as well as producers, distributors and sales agents, who will come especially for  Dragon Forum, held in Krakow in first days of June 2012. For certain selected projects participation in Co-production Meetings at Dok Leipzig is foreseen.


Dragon Forum is:

The course is dedicated to the filmmakers, having developed idea of documentary film for the international audience, who want to access the international co-production market.

* initial trailer
* information about authors
* initial budget
* estimated financial plan
