POLISH PROJECT INVITED TO DOK.INCUBATOR
The titles of the projects that will take part in the DOK. Incubator workshop have been announced. A list of eight selected titles includes one film from Poland.
DOK.Incubator is an intensive six-month international workshop on editing, marketing and distribution. The workshops are divided into three weekly sessions: the first will take place at the end of April in the Czech Republic, the next in June in Slovakia, and the last in September in Sweden.
This year, eight projects have been selected to participate in the DOK.Incubator workshops. Among the qualified titles was Polish production - "Pawn Shop" directed by Łukasz Kowalski. Anna Mazerant is responsible for production of this documentary.
The protagonists of this Polish production are Jola and Wiesiek, a pair of enterprising people who jointly run the largest pawnshop in southern Poland. In the past it was a very profitable business, now it is mostly bringing them loses. Financial problems are starting to affect their relationship.
