POLISH DOCS PRO DELEGATION AT VISIONS DU REEL INDUSTRY EVENTS
This year's VdR-Industry, the industry events accompanying one of the most important documentary film festivals in Europe - Visions du du Réel in Nyon, Switzerland - will take place from 6 - 9 April. A Polish delegation of producers and directors will visit Nyon to present themselves to the international industry, organised as part of the Polish Docs PRO project.
Polish producers will have the opportunity for promotion, networking meetings and the search for international partners as part of the wide open VdR Industry programme, as well as taking part in events prepared especially for international delegations, including a co-production round table with producers from Canada, Norway, Scotland, Switzerland and France.
The Polish Docs PRO delegation will include:

In addition, the VdR-Market video library in the Polish Docs PRO section will feature a selection of five recent Polish documentaries.
Not only at industry events, but also in the festival programme there will be plenty of Polish accents. The Visions du Reel will see the world premieres of the Polish documentaries ‘The Town That Drove Away’ by Natalia Pietsch and Grzegorz Piekarski, ‘Double Trouble’ by Emilia Śniegoska and ‘The Big Chief’ by Tomasz Wolski. In the Highlight section 'The Guest' by Zuzanna Solakiewicz and Zvika Gregory Portnoy will be presented.
The Polish Docs Pro Delegation is organised by the Krakow Film Foundation and is co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland from the Culture Promotion Fund and the Polish Film Institute. Partners are the Krakow Festival Office and the Krakow Film Commission.
The project Polish Docs PRO focuses primarily on a wide promotion of Polish documentary film industry at international events addressed to film professionals. It supports film-makers and producers in developing their projects by facilitating access to the markets abroad, co-coordinating the trips of delegations to the pitching forums and co-production markets, organising the presentations of projects, production models and co-production opportunities with Poland, organising networking meetings, participation in lectures, panel discussions, workshops and training sessions. The aim of the Polish Docs PRO is to establish the brand of Polish documentary film in the international film environment and to develop international co-operation.
