MARIA KRAUSS TO PARTICIPATE IN EMERGING PRODUCERS PROGRAMME

Running alongside the Jihlava Festival, Emerging Producers is a programme focused on education and promotion and designed for talented documentary film producers from European Union countries. This year, Polish producer Maria Krauss is going to join the initiative.

Emerging Producers is a programme that aims to integrate a new generation of producers with seasoned professionals who have been working successfully across various fields of the film industry for many years. This collaboration is intended to bear fruit for the future of European documentary co-productions. The organisers seek to create a supportive environment enabling diverse and creative projects to engage with specialists at film markets.

Producers who apply to the programme should already have an established presence on their domestic film market for several years and have at least one completed film to their name that has been theatrically distributed or screened at festivals. Candidates must also harbour the ambition to create productions for European audiences through collaboration with other EU companies.

This year, Maria Krauss has secured her place in this prestigious circle. The Polish documentary producer, a history graduate from the University of Warsaw, cultural project manager and social activist, is co-founder of the boutique production company Plesnar and Krauss FILMS. She has extensive experience in international co-productions and industry events. Krauss is a member and co-founder of the informal group Women of Film and a member of the Polish Film Academy.
