The Polish-Arab production I Am One of Them by Nadim Suleiman centres on Nadim, a young Syrian film school student living in Poland. The young man meets Grzesiek, a Polish nationalist and aspiring rapper. Their friendship begins with boat trips together and develops despite profound cultural and political differences. While Nadim has to overcome memories of war during a visit to Syria, Grzesiek pursues a political career with the far-right Polish National Movement. Over time, ideological tensions put their bond to the test, yet both continue to strive for mutual understanding. As Nadim attempts to build a new life in Poland, Grzesiek struggles with nostalgia for the past and dreams of a future making music. The film portrays a fragile relationship marked by understanding, conflict, and the difficult search for belonging in a divided world. The Polish producer of the film is Kasia Kuczyńska.
