GRAND PRIX FOR A DOCUMENATRY ABOUT WAJDA!
The Film Group Paladino's film "Andrzej Wajda; Let's shoot!" produced by Andrzej Wajda School, received Grand Prix during the International Film Festival of European Art "Arts& Film" in Prague.
The jury of the Czech festival awarded the film in the New Generation category. The film's authors, members of the Film Group Paladino, are graduates of Andrzej Wajda School of Film Directing.
They are among the best documentary film directrs of the new generation. Their films are full of humour and warm-hearted observations, presenting a new way of loooking at the reality. They all have exceptionally creative attitude.
The film "Andrzej Wajda: let's shoot!", produced by Andrzej Wajda Film School in coproduction with Polish Telecom, is a portrait of the director during the shooting of one of the most personal of his film - Katyń. The young filmmakers accompanied him in moments of concentration, tiredness and joy, and during the conversations with the actors. Observing his work on the set, the viewer has an opportunity to see what Andrzej Wajda is really like - unique because of his sensibility, passion and feeling of mission. The festive film premiere took place in May during this year's Planet Doc Festival.
