„ROLLS OF IDENTITY” SUCCESSFUL ONCE AGAIN

„Rolls of Identity”, a one-minute documentary by Jakub Pączek, triumphed once again, this time in the USA.

During Atlantic Highlands’ FilmOneFest, which took place on July 16th, the jury awarded three main prizes. One of the winners was a film by Jakub Pączek, „Rolls of Identity”. After Grand Prix at One Minute Film And Video Festival in Toronto, Honorary Mention at One Minutes Festival in Brazil, and the second place at Croatian One Minute Film Festival, it is the fourth award given to the document this year at a foreign film festival.

"Rolls of Identity” presents, in a very condensed and humorous way, the role of toilet paper in the political and cultural transformations that Poland and Eastern Europe underwent in the second half of the 20th and at the beginning of the 21st century.

Jakub Pączek is a Church History graduate at the Pontifical University in Kraków. Presently, he is studying directing at Krzysztof Kieślowski Radio and Television Faculty at University of Silesia in Katowice. By now, he has made a number of etudes by his own script, among them „The Washing Machine”, a short feature film, which was presented and awarded at many festivals.
