"ALL THESE SLEEPLESS NIGHTS" IN KARLOVY VARY

Today, on July 1, starts the 51st edition of Karolvy Vary International Film Festival. In the Documentary Films Competition, there is the film "All these sleepless nights" by Michał Marczak.

Karlovy Vary International Film Festival is a prestigious film festival, which is held since 1946 in the Czech health resort of Karlovy Vary. Every year, in the Czech Republic the audience can see approximately 150 films from around the world. During the festival, three international competitions are held: the Main Competition, East of the West (for the first and the second films by directors from Central and Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Turkey and the former USSR countries), as well as the Documentary Films Competition. It is the competition for which the film "All these sleepless nights" qualified.

"All these sleepless nights" is an unconventional feature film by Michał Marczak, which, due to its unparalleled authenticity in filming the actors, was included in the documentary film competition.

"All these sleepless nights" is a brilliant portrait of contemporary Polish twenty-year-olds, which has a chance to become the manifest of the restless generation born after 1989. For two years, Warsaw streets, clubs, cafés and apartments turned into a natural film set, where there was made one of the most intimate and truest tale about young people in the history of Polish cinema since the times of "Innocent Sorcerers" by Andrzej Wajda.

In the competition section of Karlovy Vary festival, one will also see the films "Waves" by Grzegorz Zariczny and "Kamper" by Łukasz Grzegorzek.

The full programme of the festival is available on the Festival's website. The festival lasts until 9th July.
