EAST DOC PLATFORM ANNOUNCES SELECTED PROJECTS
The complete list of projects selected for East Doc Platform 2025 has been announced. This year's edition will be held on 13-19 March in Prague. Several Polish productions and co-productions have made the cut.
Organised by the Institute of Documentary Film, East Doc Platform is a premier documentary industry event that attracts over 400 guests each year, including approximately 100 decision-makers from the documentary industry: sales agents, distributors, and representatives from film funds and festivals. This year, EDP will host the prestigious Series Co-Production Development Award, offering an impressive €50,000 prize for the winning documentary series project!
East Silver Market 2025 is going to showcase: Isabella (dir. Joanna Janikowska, prod. Anna Gawlita, Marta Szymanowska - Kijora Film sp. z o.o., co-prod. Rosanna D'ALoisio - Domus Films, PL, IT, 2025), The Town That Drove Away (dir. Grzegorz Piekarski, Natalia Pietsch, prod. Katarzyna Kostecka - LARMO, co-prod. TVP National Polish TV, PL, 2025), What the... Hen! (dir. Joanna Deja, prod. Justyna Kluczewska & Maciek Ostatek - Raban, PL, 2024), and Hidden (dir. Monika Kotecka, prod. Marta Szymanowska, PL, 2026).
In turn, East Doc Market 2025 is going to feature Dekonstrukt (dir. Mateusz Góra, Kamil Wilk, prod. Piotr Śmiechowski - Telemark, PL, 2026), while Czech Docs: Coming Soon will present the Polish co-production Wasteland Chronicles (dir. Viera Čákanyová, Lucia Kašová, Barbora Sliepková, prod. Anna Mach Rumanová - filmsomnia, co-prod. Martina Netíková - Cinémotif Films, CZ, SK, PL, 2025/2026). Meanwhile, Inner Landscapes (dir. Zofia Sawicka, prod. Zofia Kujawska, Maciej Kubicki - Telemark Sp. z o.o., PL) has been invited to East Doc Forum.
There are two Polish documentaries among the 17 projects selected for Ex Oriente: My Father, the ICEMAN (dir. Łukasz Kowalski, prod. Anna Mazerant - 4.30 STUDIO, PL) and St. Barbara's Children (dir. Oliwia Tonteri, prod. Aino Halonen, Oliwia Tonteri - Kompot (FIN), FI, PL).
