"SNAILS" AWARDED BY THE AUDIENCE AT GO SHORT

The short documentary film "Snails" is among the award-winners of the festival Go Short, which ended last Sunday, April 10. The film by Grzegorz Szczepaniak won the audience's award.

The eight edition of the short film festival Go Short, which was held in the Dutch city of Nijmegen form April 6 to 10, brought the award to the documentary film by Grzegorz Szczepaniak. The film "Snails" gained the liking of the viewers, who chose it the best film of the festival.

"Snails" tell the story of Andrzej who, together with his friend, decides to establish a snail farm. In spite of the lack of experience, he believes in the success of the enterprise. To the rescue comes Grzegorz Skalmowski from Pasłęk, the Polish guru in this field, called "the Snail King," who gives him valuable advice. The preparations to open the farm are underway. During breaks at work, the men talk about life and death, love and friendship, and these conversations become the essence of the film, whereas the snail gains importance and becomes the symbol of rebirth and eternal life.
