POLISH STUDENT FILM’S SUCCESS IN SAINT PETERSBURG
Open Saint Petersburg Student Film Festival “Beginning” has just finished. Among the winners there are the student films from two Polish film schools: University of Silesia in Katowice and Polish National Film, Television and Theatre School in Lodz.
Founded by St.Petersburg Filmmaker’s Union festival “Beginning” is held annually at the Cinema House with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and Committee of Culture of St. Petersburg Government.
This year’s edition took place from the 1st to the 6th of October. Several dozen student films – documentary, animated as well as fiction films – from all over the world, also from Poland, appeared in the competition programme. What is more, the etudes from Polish film schools were honored with the main prizes.
Here are the Polish winners of Open Saint Petersburg Student Film Festival “Beginning”:
