CHOPIN RELOADED ON BBC WORLD
On 14th August, there was the premiere of “Chopin Reloaded” by Krzysztof Dzięciołowski on BBC WORLD.
“Chopin Reloaded” was made on the occasion of the bicentenary birthday anniversary of Frederick Chopin. However, the film is not a traditional, full of patriotic notes, story about the great Pole. It is rather an attempt to find the traces of his artistic work, echo of his music in the contemporary culture – not only Polish one. Going beyond the biographical conventions makes it possible to outline the artistic personality of Chopin for viewers from different corners of the world. Especially thanks to the main protagonist of the film, jazz vocalist with Polish-Peruvian roots, Marita Alban Juaraz, the authors of “Chopin Reloaded” show how the 19th century composer influences and inspires contemporary artists.
“Chopin Reloaded” by Krzysztof Dzięciołowski, produced by Vision House, was broadcast on BBC World on 14th August, 10:10 and 22:10 and on 15th August on 03:10 and 16:10.
